Music Night 2019
Saturday 19 January marked the date of our annual Smile for Georgie Music Night; the Charity welcomed over 100 people to the Guernsey Aero Club for an entertaining evening which raised an astounding £2,500.
Hosted by Josh Gabriel, the evening commenced with a performance by guitar soloist Nick Coleman; his acoustic offerings warmed everyone up before the magnificent KB Project took to the stage with their first set of jazz and soul covers. Although the night was still young, the band was well received by the energetic audience whose dance moves were already on show!
During the break, a raffle and silent auction took place raising circa £1,700 which was a massive contribution to the spectacular final sum. Generous bids were placed for a tandem parachute jump, weekend stay at La Barbarie, two return flights to Gatwick with Aurigny and the GFT flying lesson. Peter Staples and Craig Winstone provided a fine array of food which guests were able to enjoy throughout the evening.
A second performance from the KB Project and 80’s style disco drew the successful night to a close, leaving everyone wanting more. Bring on January 2020.
